Sleeps 6 at Dinas Cross in Pembrokeshire
Glan House Holiday Cottage is attached to the rear of Glan House in the coastal village of Dinas Cross, which is situated halfway between Newport and Fishguard, an ideal base for exploring beautiful North Pembrokeshire.
The cottage has views of open countryside and distance sea views. It has its own private garden with parking in a spacious drive. Our secluded, local beach, Aberbach, with beautiful sunsets, also gives access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, a 15 minute (adult) walk from the cottage. 15 minutes in a car and you will enjoy the rugged Pembrokeshire coast and some of it's other wonderful beaches.
If you are a walker, you will be spoilt for choice with various walks starting from the cottage, circular walks, coastal walks or walks over the Preseli Hills.
For families, the local beaches are just perfect, at Newport Sands there is a manned life guard area to keep a watchful eye over the younger members of the family, or visit Pwllgwaelod or Cwm yr Eglwys for a more tranquil and off the beaten track experience.
Our local coastal bus The Poppit Rocket, which goes in and out of the local beaches, passes through Dinas Cross and can transport you further afield if you feel the need.
In our village we are lucky to have a wonderful cafe, Bara Brith, open Wednesday to Saturday 10-4 serving delicious food and beverages.
2 friendly pubs The Ship Aground and The Freemasons, serving local beers and good food. Both with beer gardens.
A Fish and Chip takeaway, Pat's Plaice.
The Old Sailors at Pwllgwaelod a pub/ restaurant right by the sea, is a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive away from the Cottage.
Also there is a general store Kiel House, with an off licence, which also sells local produce, papers etc
A Petrol Station , housing a Post Office, shop and off licence.
