At a glance:

The accommodation and location

Gorwel has one of the best seaside locations available in Newport, the cottage is at the end of a short no through lane, on practically an island surrounded by the sea.

Dining area with views

Inside you'll discover that nearly every window provides you with a stunning view. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner - soak up and enjoy the endlessly changing seascapes across the bay.

Semi open plan living / dining areas

Enjoy the open plan living / dining area with a wood burning stove - ideal for cosy nights in after exploring the coast path, the local beaches, a jaunt to the summit of Carningli, and, or the local eateries that Newport has become renowned for.

Quay wall behind Gorwel

There's a well equipped kitchen, perfect for rustling up hearty meals to enjoy whilst soaking up the vista from the large dining area window. You'll find yourself mesmerised watching the coming and goings of local fishermen, beach goers, and water sport enthusiasts that frequent the estuary here - literally yards from the window.

Annual regatta at Parrog

If you're lucky enough to book Gorwel for the end of August, you'll enjoy the annual Newport regatta, and other festivities that carry on just a stones throw from the cottage.

The double bedroom

To end the day, there are three bedrooms, 1 double, plus two twin rooms to choose from - these too enjoy views out to the bay or to the mountain.

Outside you'll find a seating area to the front of the cottage which enjoys beautiful views across the estuary towards Newport and on to Carningli Mountain, it's south facing and an ideal spot to soak up some sunshine. There is also a large grassy space to the right and rear of the property to enjoy picnics, and although this area is public, it's never too busy to find a quiet patch to yourselves.

Children will love the quay walls all around Parrog Bach - they boast some of the best crabbing in North Pembrokeshire. Don't forget the crab lines, buckets and bait as this is a favorite pastime of many on holiday in Newport.

Nearby is the Boat Club - a members only bar, and from Easter, an Italian pop up food van, an ice cream van, and a licsenced cafe / restaurant open up - all within a few hundred yards of Gorwel.
